Thyroid Treatment

The thyroid is a small gland located in the front of your neck. It produces the hormones that regulate the speed of the chemical functions of the body. These thyroid hormones are required for any process that takes place in your body.

Dr. Jere Jarrett can help you resolve your functional thyroid problems using natural means.

Types of Thyroid Problems

When your thyroid is overactive, too much hormone is produced and body functions speed up. This is called hyperthyroidism. When your thyroid is underactive too little hormone is produced and body functions slow down. This is called hypothyroidism.

Another type of thyroid problem is where the immune system attacks its thyroid gland, an autoimmune condition. This results in Hashimoto’s Disease (hypothyroid) or Graves’ Disease (hyperthyroid).

The good news is whether your thyroid is overactive or underactive, Dr. Jere can help improve your condition without drugs or surgery.

Get effective treatment for functional thyroid problems

Dr. Jere is a highly trained and experienced chiropractor with extensive training in nutrition. He is particularly known for his ability to find the real cause of a condition so that an effective treatment plan can be made.

Dr. Jere uses a combination of treatments to resolve your thyroid issues and avoid the use of drugs or surgical removal of the thyroid.

  • Chiropractic adjustments to open up the flows of the nervous system to the thyroid gland, providing it with the energy it needs to heal.
  • Nutritional program
  • An exact supplementation program that provides the nutrients your thyroid needs to heal and function optimally

Traditional treatment for thyroid problems

In today’s stressful society, many women may suffer from and exhibit symptoms related to a poorly functioning thyroid, yet blood tests show results within normal range. This can be frustratingnfor both the patient and doctor.

Dr. Jere’s natural treatments are designed to correct the thyroid condition so your thyroid function normalizes and can produce the ideal levels of hormones on its own.

What are the symptoms of a thyroid problem?

In general, poor function of the thyroid can cause unhealthy hair and skin and headaches. Otherwise, hyperthyroidism symptoms and hypothyroidism symptoms are very different. Check both lists below and see if any of these symptoms sound familiar to you.

The following are symptoms for hyperthyroidism (over-production thyroid hormone)
If someone’s thyroid levels are too high, everything is too active causing a variety of symptoms and problems:

  • Heart rate that is too high (heart racing)

  • Tremors
  • Frequent bowel movements

Everything slows down with hypothyroidism, causing:

  • Weight gain
  • Intolerance to cold
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Slow metabolism
  • Slow bowel function
  • Forgetfulness or slow thought processes
  • Lower immune response
  • Heavy, frequent menstrual periods

Testimonial

After I dislocated my shoulder, Family Life put me right back together. I know, being a chiropractor myself, that it would have taken three times as long to recover without Family Life Chiropractic. Thanks all!
