Gain permanent relief from low back pain and lower back problems with Spinal Decompression Therapy, the non-surgical, non-invasive back treatment.
Spinal decompression relieves back pain and remedies back conditions by relieving the extreme pressure on pinched nerves caused by herniated, bulging or degenerated discs.
The decompression table is a breakthrough in non-surgical back pain relief.
Our Spinal Decompression Therapy is effective in treating back conditions that doctors will normally prescribe medications or back surgery for. Medications only treat symptoms and can cause a dependency as well as side effects. Back surgery has a low success rate in relieving pain. Dr. Jere’s Spinal Decompression has an upwards of 90% success rate in treating the following conditions:
These are conditions that can benefit from Spinal Decompression treatment if severe and not responsive to chiropractic treatment:
And some conditions that Dr. Jarrett treats with a combination of Spinal Decompression, Chiropractic and Massage:
More severe disc problems, such as disc fragment and extruded disc can sometimes be helped with Spinal Decompression, depending on the severity of the condition.
Find out if you are a candidate for Spinal Decompression Therapy.
Your back has 33 bones that make up your spine, each called a “vertebra.” These bones protect the nerves that go from your brain down your spine and to the rest of the body. Between each of these bones there’s soft tissue to give padding for the nerves and allows you to move. These tissues are called “discs.”
If you place too much pressure on one part of the disc, the outside can tear and the inside soft tissue can squirt out to some degree.
This is what your doctor is talking about when he tells you that you have a herniated disc, a bulging disc, ruptured disc or a slipped disc.
Without this padding, your body weight pushes the two back bones together, squeezing directly on the nerve between them. Many of the nerves in your low back go down your legs, which is why low back problems lead to pains in the legs.
Spinal Decompression therapy is a non-invasive treatment for chronic low back pain that has been used successfully for over 15 years in many countries. Over 3000 patients a day receive Spinal Decompression therapy in the U.S. Spinal Decompression therapy pioneered non-surgical decompression and to this day is still the only non-invasive device that has been proven through clinical research to effectively decompress the discs.
Spinal Decompression Therapy is proven to decompress the discs.
Spinal Decompression therapy works by using a patented technique called “spinal decompression.” This is a painless technique where precision instruments are used to pin-point exact areas of the spine to decompress. A vacuum (suction) is created on the disc, which allows blood to flow in and deliver nutrients that heal the disc.
Each session is about an hour in duration. Patients find the treatment to be comfortable and relaxing and many experience a relief of the pain during the treatment. Most people undertake a 5-week course of treatment of 5 days per week.
The patient is fitted with a pelvic harness and lies face-down (or face-up) on our decompression table. Light tension is applied that allows the back and trunk muscles to relax. The Spinal Decompression therapy software calculates the exact tension to apply hundreds of times each second using “Bio-feedback” to process the data. The system adjusts the tension and position to produce a perfect decompression.
The treatment is completely safe and tested! And it’s the only non-surgical way to treat low back pain resulting from disc problems.
Dr. Jere’s effective approach
Spinal Decompression therapy studies show a 70%+ success rate in qualified candidates treated with Spinal Decompression therapy. This is already considerably greater than back surgery and other forms of treatment for herniated/bulging discs.
Dr. Jere takes his chronic low back pain treatment to the next level and routinely achieves 90%+ success rates for qualified candidates. As an expert in nutritional counseling, Dr. Jere complements the Spinal Decompression therapy treatment with essential nutrition and supplementation, as well as an exercise program.
How much does Spinal Decompression cost?
The cost of Spinal Decompression therapy is 1/10 to 1/20 the cost of back surgery and is completely affordable for all chronic back pain sufferers. Family Life Chiropractic offers easy payment plans.
Results from independent sources (hospitals, private clinics, clinical studies) show levels of success in the range of 7+ out of 10 people. Spinal Decompression therapy has been used by the best professional sports figures including those in the NBA, NFL, NHL, Olympic athletes and more.
Many clinical studies exist showing spinal decompression efficacy. Click on the Clinical studies tab to read some of the results.
Various studies show that physical therapy doesn’t provide any long-term efficacy greater than a placebo. Some studies showed it aggravated the condition.
Treatments reviewed include:
Low-intensity laser therapy
None of these were found to cause improvements in symptoms of chronic pain or in the quality of life.
Studies show exercise as a sole therapy for acute low back pain is ineffective. However, specific exercises done in conjunction with Spinal Decompression treatment, as directed by Dr. Jere, increase the efficacy of the treatment.
Epidural Steroid Injections
These are widely used in everyday clinical practice. They may be helpful for reducing tissue inflammation and short-term pain relief in a patient with an acute radicular [radiating] low back pain. However, studies don’t show long-term benefit.
Lumbar Support Belts
Multiple studies show that a back belt has no beneficial effect in any group, either with or without bank injury history and regardless of length of wearing them.
Results from back surgery in treating lumbar disc herniations are very poor and can in fact be very damaging. Researchers give a 1%-2% success rate and further problems for those who were not helped through surgery. Additionally, back surgery is painful and expensive.
Laser Spinal Decompression
This is in fact surgery using an endoscope—a slender instrument to view the inside of the body. It is more precise and as a result requires less cutting than open back surgery. Unlike spinal decompression, it is a surgical procedure and requires anesthesia and IV sedation, and it can be expensive. Laser Spinal Decompression has better results than open back surgery and can be an option for patients with conditions too severe for regular spinal decompression.
Although traction devices can stretch the lower back, they have not demonstrated the ability to decompress the lumbar discs and spinal nerves. Traction tables have an electric winch mounted in a column, or attached at the head of the table. They have a cable attached to the patient’s harness.
Doctors will at first recommend conservative treatment such as rest, heat, exercises and medications. A lot of times a bulging/herniated disc will heal on its own, although spinal decompression treatment will speed up the healing process and avoid the need for medications.

After I dislocated my shoulder, Family Life put me right back together. I know, being a chiropractor myself, that it would have taken three times as long to recover without Family Life Chiropractic. Thanks all!
